Out of all the eyeliners that I have tried (and there are a lot), I have to say that Smashbox’s Limitless Eyeliner is probably one of the worst ones I have come across…and that is including all the cheap drugstore ones I’ve used over the years. 

This eyeliner came in a Smashbox set that I purchased this time last year from Sephora. I was so excited when I got it because, as a brown-eyed girl, I love me some purple. However, I was horribly disappointed once I tried it. Its very hard to get any color no matter what you do. I’ve tried warming it up with my fingers and a blow dryer and nothing helps. It is just not a creamy or pigmented pencil…which is very disappointing considering its a fairly pricey one. 

I swatched it on my hand after trying to warm it up with a blow dryer and this is all the color pay-off that I could get. Not that much as you can see. The big blob of color was me swirling it around for a minute trying to get the color to show. Not very impressive..

The only good thing that I can say about this product is that I love the sharpener that it comes with. That is seriously the only reason that this liner is still in my make-up kit and not in the trash can where it belongs.

I’m a little confused when reading the reviews that people have left on the Sephora website because they are all positive for the most part, which makes me wonder if maybe I just got a defect one. Or its possible that Smashbox just put a cheap-o one in the set in order to save money. Maybe the individual ones are better quality. Who knows. All I know is I wouldn’t waste my money trying to find out.

If you are looking for a good, creamy eye pencil, I highly recommend the Stila Kajal Eye Liners from Sephora. This is my go-to eyeliner and I probably will never use another pencil. I will do a rave review on it later.
